Description

Project Overview
The Mindset project was a UI design challenge to create a new brand identity and mobile app concept, presented as a polished, interactive prototype. The goal was to define a brand direction that captured energy, emotion, and purpose while elevating the app’s interface through visual design, motion, and microinteractions. Drawing inspiration from simple, user-friendly apps, I developed two distinct high-fidelity design directions—one calm and minimal, the other bold and dynamic—each supported by a logo, moodboard, and refined visual system.

My Role and Duration
I worked as the UI Designer over the course of three weeks. My responsibilities included:
Sketching lo-fi wireframes to outline the app’s structure and flow.
Designing a logo that aligned with the app’s brand personality.
Building a moodboard to define tone, energy, and emotional appeal.
Creating two high-fidelity design concepts with unique color palettes and typography.
Adding motion and microinteractions to enhance usability without distracting from the experience.
The Problem
Initially, the app lacked direction, personality, and excitement. Screens felt plain and unpolished—more like a rough draft than a finished product. There was no visual flow to guide users, no emotional connection, and no cohesive brand identity. Without these elements, the app risked being overlooked in a competitive space where aesthetics and usability are equally important.
Goals
The project aimed to:
Design a logo and moodboard that would serve as the foundation of the brand.
Build two distinct creative directions:
A calm, minimal theme with light tones and a sense of balance.
A bold, energetic theme with darker contrasts and dynamic elements.
Develop 3–5 connected high-fidelity screens to demonstrate core interactions.
Ensure motion design and microinteractions enhanced the flow, reinforcing usability and delight.

Created a logo that reflected clarity, growth, and mindset focus.
2. Wireframing
Sketched lo-fi wireframes to test basic layouts and flows.
Established the app’s navigation and user journey before adding style.
3. High-Fidelity Design
Designed two complete UI directions with attention to spacing, hierarchy, and alignment.
Integrated primary/secondary color palettes for light and dark backgrounds.
Refined typography for readability and brand alignment.
4. Motion & Microinteractions
Applied subtle transitions for navigation and content reveal.
Designed microinteractions (button taps, card swipes, menu reveals) to improve engagement and usability.
